I have used Photoshop CC both professionally and personally for years, and maybe I have learned 10% of the PS functionality. I learn best by watching videos (YouTube and Lynda.com), but Photoshop is too sophisticated to learn by using just one learning modality. When I heard about Photoshop Elements 2018, I decided to switch to a different mode of learning and purchased two Photoshop Elements books to read. I am glad, I did.The dummies book is perfect for me because the lessons and sample files are helping me to learn the basics and the concepts which I needed to progress to a more advanced level of editing. I also now understand the proper workflow for performing certain types of corrections. I highly recommend this book, if you are thinking "where do I start to learn to Photoshop Elements?"
I have owned almost every photoshop elements version that ever came out. I have also owned many of the Manuals. I have started this book and gone through about 35 pages and so far have learned something on almost every page - even though I already know quite a bit. It is relatively easy reading and gets at some very useful info quickly. I am looking forward to getting through the book and hope I will be able to continue the praise of Photoshop Elements 2018 as I progress through the pages. Happy to be the first to write a review!
Very easy to follow and very helpful as I had been unable to do much with Photoshop prior to receiving this. My only frustration was that it shipped from overseas and took a really long time to arrive.
Lot of good hints in this, haven't found anything missing. Should mention I'm an experienced Photoshop user but I think it'd be OK for a new person. There IS a learning curve with Photoshop. I think, no matter how you go about it.
This guide helped me set up "albums" to store my photos. Will be a great resource as I begin to correct and enhance my photographs.
I find this book useful and refer to it all the time. The table of contents is well organized and saves me from searching on the internet for everything i want to do, although most of the material can be found for free on YouTube. Photoshop Elements 2018 is not easy to learn so a reference book like this one is a big help.
I'm 67 years old. Hoped it would be dumbed down a little more for my untechy brain, but still worth getting.
So far, so good. Doesn't really tell me much more than the online help but it's fairly easy to naviage.
